Testimonials

Neighbourhood Centre pancake breakfast
“New Life Neighbourhood Centre is like a second home to me. It’s a welcoming, safe space, where you can take positive life-changing workshops like TRUPotential; make amazing new friends, give and receive supports when life throws you challenges. You are surrounded by leaders who truly care, find creative outside the box solutions to your challenges, and walk alongside you on your journey to have a new life! Here, at New Life, they speak with integrity, walk with integrity, show you integrity and you also feel it. You know you will never walk alone.”  – Selena Hind
“True leaders build strong relationships based on trust, believing in and investing in one another by accepting you for who you truly are. They provide unconditional love, support, hope and resources when you have the freedom to choose your dreams and have people walk alongside you. There’s a joy in moving toward new life that is so peaceful and empowering.” – April Hind

How to get involved

Most people are willing to help others but may not know exactly what is needed or how to go about helping their community. They may even wonder if their contribution will really make a difference. Our staff can help you find a program or cause that you strongly believe in so that your donation is as meaningful to you as those who will benefit from it. You can make a difference!

It doesn’t require a lot of time or energy to pack food for a family, prepare a nutritious breakfast for the hungry, or help someone up the stairs but it does require a lot of heart. Volunteer opportunities range from program support to assisting with a special fundraising event to simply helping people feel valued and cared for in a time of need.

If you are interested in volunteering with us whether in the Food Bank, Breakfast Program, at an event or in Fundraising, please email us or call (905) 404-2004.

There are three ways that you can help to make a difference.

When you give, you help to feed someone that is hungry, clothe someone that is cold, or find shelter for someone that is homeless. Thanks for giving toward our mission! Your gift inspires us and inspires others.
